Feeding Program Kenya
The purpose of this project has been to provide people in parts of the country stricken with drought with food relief until they can become self-sufficient.
From mid 2021, parts of Kenya began to feel the effects of the drought which continued until mid 2023. Kenya and other parts of Africa had previously benefited from a reliable source of grain from Ukraine. Due to the war in Ukraine, Kenya was deprived once again of much needed food.
Logan City Christian Church and United World Ministries have continued providing food relief for thousands of people for over two years. While the rain has come and the drought is over, there remained the season for planting crops and harvest. While it may be a few months until the local people advantage from the harvest, we have maintained a consistent feeding program which has blessed many people.
